I, like other people on here, we're deceitfully forced to purchase the MAX PROTECTION even though I had opted out of it (twice) during the file process. Also, turbotax added another "benefit" called IDnotify, which I also wasn't given the option to decline.
I emailed them immediately about this, and of course, was told there isn't anything they can do about it.
Pretty pathetic how they sneak in extra costs. I have used turbotax for YEARS, but I guess they don't want MY business from now on. I'm done with thier scam.
Reason of review: Poor customer service.

Same here. I did not want IDnotify - something I have yet to find reputable information about, by the way - nor did I want "Max Protection", yet when I tried to "check out", I was forced to accept both. I found the experience akin to deceptive hostage-taking.
I had the exact same problem!!! After being on hold for almost an hour, they claim they will reimburse me...I'll believe it when I see it!
